While some have criticized the Delta SkyMiles program for its less-than-great mileage options, they do offer some inexpensive domestic award flights that make using this program worthwhile. On top of that, Delta is a member of SkyTeam Alliance, meaning you can redeem your SkyMiles with any SkyTeam Alliance member. These airlines include:

Unfortunately, Delta was one of the first airlines to get rid of its public award chart and change to a dynamic pricing system for award flights.

Delta has put many routes between the US and Mexico/Caribbean on "sale" right now through September 5, 2018 (this coming Wednesday). I say "sale" because Delta doesn't have a published award chart anymore, but we know from charts maintained by people like us online that the standard lowest level US > Mexico and US > Caribbean award price is 17,500 Delta miles one way.

Until September 19, 2018, the Gold Delta Card is offering 60,000 bonus Delta miles for spending $3,000 in the first four months of holding the card.

Right now many routes are only 12,000 SkyMiles roundtrip.

American Express is offering some lucrative incentives to spend on their cards right now. Not everyone will have these Amex Offers available as they are targeted.

Delta SkyMiles is offering a 10% rebate on awards booked by May 13th, for travel between the dates of August 14 and November 14, 2018. The maximum amount of miles you'll get back is 100,000.

This offer is not available to everyone. Check here to see if you were targeted.

To be clear, you must have the total amount of miles required to book the award. Rebate will apply to entire amount of miles redeemed, even if there are others aside from you on the reservation.

Gift cards bought through the mobile version of Delta's site are coding as actual gift cards, and therefore aren't being reimbursed by Amex.

Starwood Preferred Guest and Uber have had an ongoing relationship allowing SPG members to earn SPG points by tying their SPG and Uber accounts together. As of now, you can earn 1 SPG point per $2 spent on Uber for nothing other than linking your accounts. You can also earn SPG points for using Ubers when staying at SPG hotels at an elevated rate of 2 points per dollar spent.
